A community of disciples

A Christian is a disciple who is learning through revelation. That is, the believer receives instruction from the word of God by the help of the Holy Spirit who is enabling him to understand. The church Jesus Christ is building is a community of people who are constantly learning the implications of being a disciple and walking in his footsteps.

A revelation-fellowship

Jesus says that he is building a church, a fellowship of people who have received revelation and spiritual insight so that they can in truth confess that Jesus is Christ, the Son of the Living God. Faith in Jesus creates fellowship! To experience salvation in Jesus creates fellowship! To come to Jesus is to find fellowship with those who love him and live together with him. We can only live a true human life when we live together with Jesus, when we live in revelation (that means to receive teaching from the Spirit and the Word) and pass on spiritual insights to one another and strengthen one another’s faith. The Church is a fellowship of people who live in a partnership with Jesus and the Holy Spirit who gives revelation from God.

A disciple-fellowship

Jesus never called anyone to be a «supporter» but he called people to be his disciples. He called them to follow him in order to learn from him. Real Christians are disciples, people who are being trained, people who have not stagnated but who are developing spiritually! A Christian church is a fellowship of people who are on the move.

The church Jesus is building is not a fellowship of people who have become stiff or have stagnated in traditions and old ways of doing things. Jesus’ church is people who live in fresh insights and learn to take new steps; people who dare to take Jesus seriously and to put his teaching into practice in a modern world.
