All are equally necessary

A body is a complex organism with many functions necessary to maintain life. In fact it is so made that if one part is diseased and unable to function it hinders the whole person. All parts are not equally visible, neither do all appear to have equal importance, but the truth is that God has composed the body as he wishes and each part is necessary so that the whole will be as he intended.

When we compare ourselves with others we very easily fall into one of two pitfalls - both of which are equally dangerous: To believe that we are not needed or to believe that we have no need of others. When we compare ourselves with the others and feel that all the others are better than us, we will draw back because we feel unnecessary or unimportant. If we think too much of ourselves we can end up in the other pitfall where we can manage everything on our own, independent of other Christians. Both of these reactions are a sign of immaturity.

The Bible makes it very clear that in the Christian fellowship each and every individual is important. Each Christian has something important to contribute. We all need one another and have things to learn from one another.

Now the body is not made up of one part but of many…But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body. (1.Cor.12:14,18-20)
But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honour to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honoured, every part rejoices with it. (!.Cor.12:24-26)

Continue to memorise Bible verses and add this one:

But speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every ligament with which it is equipped, as each part is working properly, promotes the body's growth in building itself up in love. (Eph. 4:15-16)
