Everything comes from God - everything belongs to God!

The Christian perspective on life is that God himself is the source and origin of life. He gives us life each and every day. Life is a gift from God. Each day he gives us new grace, new possibilities and new blessings. All we have and are comes from God and should make us both humble and grateful.

What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not? (1 Cor. 4:7)

The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world and all who live in it. (Ps.24:1)

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. God blessed them. (Gen. 1.27:28)

“The silver is mine and the gold is mine,” declares the Lord Almighty. (Hag.2:8)

God gives the ability to produce wealth!

A Christian view of life involves giving God the glory for all life’s blessings. When we, with hard work and effort, have earned our living and we have been successful in our investments, we thank God. It is his blessing which brings wealth and not our own labour only (Pro. 10:22). There are many promises in God’s word to those who are hardworking and just as many warnings to the lazy.

You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me”. But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth. (Deut. 8:17-18)

Wealth and honour come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. …But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand. (1 Chron. 29:12,14)

Make alist of 15 things that the Lord has blessed you with!
